Spring in the Garden
Spring in the Garden

Over these past weeks, my attention has been on tending my garden and spring clean-up. This takes much of my "spare" time, but when my darlings all start blooming, it is well worth the effort!

Here is a photo of some of my irises which loved all the rain that we had this winter.

As promised, on Wednesday, May 7 we will have our next class. This time it will be on the As Told To story. Jay Speyerer, of Legacy Road Communications, and I will do this 30 minute class together.

We all have stories that we have heard from our families and friends, they may be poignant, or hilarious, but if you don't record them, they will be lost!

Matter of fact, I heard one yesterday. My friend was entertaining her family for the Easter holiday. It so happened that day she was running a 102 temperature and, needless to say, wasn't in the greatest humor to be a hostess. But she and her daughter had prepared for the day and the show was going to go on.

Her 2-year-old granddaughter and friend were participating in the festivities. The granddaughter's friend went into the bathroom and accidentally turned the cute little button and locked herself in there.

With only one small window and the door, there was no way to get the tyke out. My friend's daughter got the fire department on the phone while Mommy called in the window, "honey, just turn the little button." But the poor thing got all flustered and sat down on the floor and started to cry. Daddy meanwhile was in a panic to save his child and was just about to bust the window down when my friend's son-in-law leaned himself into the door and broke it open.

That's when the fire department walked in to find out that everything was OK.

Well, Happy Easter!
