Story Contest: A Summer Memory
Labor Day tells us it's the end of summer. Fall is in the air. School begins. New routines take hold, thoughts turn to travel plans for the Holidays.
But wait!
Summer lingers in our memory. Remember being in school and for English class we always wrote about our summer vacation. Some kids had these wonderful trips to tell about, some of us stayed closer to home. But we all wrote something about what we had done with those months of summertime.
Remember the days that were lazy? Remember going to the swimming pool, eating popsicles, spitting watermelon seeds? Remember rainy summer days inside, having a friend over, playing ping pong in the basement, or going to the library? Or what about letting go of the training wheels on your bike and riding on two wheels, remember how it felt to ride down a hill on a warm day, the thrill, the wind blowing in your face?
Or maybe you remember your best golf shot, or your best tennis game!
Write about your summer memory and you could win a $50 Visa gift card. One week left, winner will be selected Monday September 28.
